FOOD 4 THOUGHT RESPONSE: WHY ARE PPL SO JUDEMENTAL?

ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE ME

A few weeks ago I read an article in Clutch, one of my favorite online magazines, titled "Casting the first stone: Why are people so judgmental?" and I wanted to stand up and clap as if the writer had just performed the words on a stage. Everything she said rang so true to my ears!
In a small sum up the articled talked about how although we all make mistakes, and we KNOW we all make mistakes we still pour our judgments onto others in a blink of an eye. The question was raised why are we so judgmental? The writer Britni Danielle gave us a synopsis of what she believed to be the reason, stating that it's easier in life to see the fault in others than to deal with the fault in your own life. She also goes on to talk about how whenever two individuals have a difference of opinion instead talking about the issue personal characters are attacked. This is a part that stood out to me:

"Don’t get me wrong, I love opinions. Prompting a sincere discussion about a topic is one of the reasons I love to write. There is nothing more fulfilling than learning something new from a reader (or anyone) who took the time to share their point of view. So opinions are not the enemy, we are all entitled to our own. But when expressing our opinions on a particular subject devolves into name-calling and irrational curse-outs, there’s something definitely wrong."

Yes there's something definitely wrong with us, and though we may not realize it, passing judgment is ultimately crippling ourselves. The writer goes on to discuss how the behavior of judging hindered her ability to be vulnerable with the people close to her, to deter them from thinking of her as weak or not as together as she seemed, so that they wouldn't judge her. Something I could closely relate to.
Something that we do so much, almost without thought, is creating the inability to be close to those around us. I experience it everyday unable to let people in because I am seen as a strong person never phased by a setback or hindrance. In actually I would not be human if that was the case.
We often judge out of ignorance and when we haven't gone through something or understand it we can easily make assumptions. The more you experience in life, the more lessons you learn and those lessons should not only apply to what you do but how you think of others in a situation. I mean the saying is a simple as they come "Put yourself in the other persons shoes" no really do it, not the "if it was me" speech but really for once allow yourself to look outside of that which you are and then maybe your perspective would be different entirely. In order to stop judging one another we must first understand one another. Just something to think about.

Wiz Khalifa "The Race"

This is one of my favorite tracks that I've heard from the album so far it has the same type of feel that Wiz gave on his "Kush and Orange Juice" mixtape which was the mixtape of the year in 2010. Glad to see he hasn't gone to commercial Listen below:

Mixtape Review On Wiz Khalifa's "Cabin Fever"

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Last month on twitter Wiz Khalifa unexpected dropped his "Cabin Fever" mixtape featuring previously unreleased tracks from the artist. Cabin Fever included production from Lex Luther, widely known for his Rick Ross beats. The Mixtape opens up with "Phone Numbers" feat. Trae The Truth and Big Sean. Khalifa immediately begins declaring how he has come up, "Now when I get paid my checks be looking like phone numbers, I'm talking Millions." The catchy hook along with different styles of rapping offered by the two guest appearances is definitely a banger. The mixtape also includes "Taylor Gang" the anthem for all of those representing Taylor Gang. My personal favorite is "GangBang" but that's largely do to the Big Sean verse. One of the tracks that falls short to me is the mixtape title track "Cabin Fever" which came across as extremely flat and unfinished. Although the mixtape includes some good production as well as catchy hooks and a more aggressive sounding Wiz Khalifa. I wonder has he gone to commercial? The material he released Prior to "Black and Yellow" and his major deal was always more laid back and easy going which is what the major appeal about Wiz Khalifa was. With the exception of "Middle of You" feat. Chevy Wood, those types of songs seem to be nonexistent on the mixtape and Wiz comes off sounding more like a knockoff Rick Ross. Which has me wondering what is his new album going to sound like? Not to mention some feel the Luther Lex produced tracks sound too much alike and the tempo of the beats are repetitive. Where has Wiz Khalifa's signature sound gone? Apparently these are the tracks that didn't make the cut for the Rolling Papers album and thank God for that.None-the-less, whether the mixtape is the Wiz Khalifa we're used to or not it is undeniable that the 9 tracks are a compilation of some bangers and good solid catchy music. More than 9 tracks would have been nice though. I give it 3 out of 5 stars.
